Our game 'robot twist' is a DDR inspired game. we pulled our inspiration from the trip to the 'heart of gaming' , in croydon, in the arcade there were two DDR machines that we enjoyed to play. we wanted to incorporate the simplicity of the controls into our game.
The original idea for the theme of the game was DNA because of the structure of the double helix, but our character sprites turned out to look more like robots.

Our game has four layouts: multiplayer, single player, game over and start.

Multiplayer: Our multiplayer layout consists of two player sprites in the center of the screen which move as the dancers in game for example: if player one was to press 'D' on the keypad then the player one sprite will move its right leg accordingly. There are also two score counters at the bottom of the page next to a timer which counts down two minutes , once the counter has reached zero then the players will be taken two the game over screen. There is also a quit button in the top right corner that will also take them to the game over screen. If they press the keys correctly then their score will increase by ten and the arrows will spawn a particle effect to make the win more satisfying.
single player: Our single player layout is just like the multiplayer one but the is a single robot onscreen and the arrows are much bigger. for single player mode the count down lasts one minute instead of two.
Game over: The game over screen tells the player(s) that the timer has run out. The game over screen consists of a yellow background with red text. It also displays the scores depending on the mode you selected at the menu screen. We used red text because the colour red is bright a noticeable. Red also indicates stop.

Start: The start screen is there to inform the player(s) of the controls and options that are available.
The game is well made but it would be better if there was audio.

i want to involve audio into the game and more player options such as 'endless' or 'memory'
